For better or worse...

For better or worse, Quickbooks is the best there is for the small business. I tried Peachtree and quickly came back to Quickbooks. Quickbooks isn't very intuitive, so it's no wonder there are so many books and classes at community colleges on how to use it. The interface is less than ideal. If you're an accountant or bookkeeper with some experience then you probably like it. But for a small business owner that wants a simple way to do the books...I guess this is the best there is but it will be an unpleasant experience. Pricing...yeah, I hate Quickbooks for their pricing. They're a cash machine with all the upgrades they require (which are minimal and worthless improvements). I hate Quickbooks but it's the best there is, sadly.

easy to use program

Not much of a change from the older version. Still easy to use and fairly decent reports. I don't think the program needs to be updated every year, but as a CPA I recommend users update their version every three years or so.

Good working software

I purchased this for work as Township Treasurer. It matches the version that the Township Clerk has, so it makes it easier to work between each of us. There is a learning curve to it.
